Dylan Xinming HOU | 侯新铭
Hi, I am Dylan Xinming Hou, an M.S. student in Machine Learning at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, working with Gus Xia at Music X Lab. Previously, I received my B.E. in Artificial Intelligence from the Gaoling School of Artificial Intelligence, Renmin University of China, where I worked with Wayne Xin Zhao on NLP-related research.
My previous research has explored several areas of machine learning, including LLMs, digital agents, multimodality, interpretability, AI safety, mind-inspired (world) models, and human-AI interaction. These projects shaped my technical background and gradually led me to questions that are more interdisciplinary and human-facing.
My current work at Music X Lab, especially on human-AI affective interaction and mind-inspired models, has become a bridge between these technical explorations and more human-centered questions. This has led me to a growing interest in human-centered AI and human-AI interaction: how people perceive, trust, use, and adapt to rapidly evolving AI systems, and how AI can be designed in ways that better reflect human needs, values, and social contexts.
